School Profile

Founded in 1209, Cambridge is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world. The Judge Business School was founded in 1990, adding a new business offering to a globally famed institution. The Judge MBA is a 12-month program that admits only about 220 students each year, making it one of the smallest programs among business schools. Its ancient history, picturesque views, and quintessential English culture make Cambridge an appealing spot for international students, who are also 60 miles away from London.

Judge MBA students hail from all corners of the world and every business sector. 63% of the MBA class of 2021 had no consulting or finance backgrounds, a higher rate than that of most schools. Similarly diverse is the curriculum, as students can choose from 10 concentrations, some of which are thematic and some of which are industry-centric. A staple of the Judge MBA is entrepreneurship, the school’s Entrepreneurship Centre offering a variety of venture creation programs. Action-based learning is part of its philosophy as well; during their studies, students undertake ventures, consulting and industry projects for real-world organizations. A one-year program and affordable price earned the Judge MBA the ninth best value for money ranking by the Financial Times, and second best among the top programs.

In terms of employment, the MBA class of 2020/21 mostly chose the finance and consulting sectors with 30% and 25% respectively, while TMT was third with 23%. 60% of graduates opted to stay in the UK, 27% moved to Asia Pacific, 8% to North America, and the rest scattered evenly across other continents.

Notable Judge alumni include Alison Brittain (CEO of Whitebread, MBA 1994),  Semaan Bassil (Chairman of Byblos Bank, MBA 1996), Diezani Alison-Madueke (Former President of OPEC, MBA 2002) and Zhang Zetian (Chief Fashion Adviser of JD.com, MBA 2020).
