SDA Bocconi is a strong contender for the title of most beloved business school in the world. Home to the smallest MBA class of all top programs with under 100 students, the school was rated first in overall student satisfaction out of 100 MBAs in the Financial Times (FT). It also made the list of top 10 schools in a few other categories, such as value for money, international course experience, and career services.
Bocconi’s environment is impressive in its own right. Located in Milan, the fashion capital of Europe, the school affords easy access to a host of multinational brands as well as outdoor adventures in Northern Italy and the nearby Alps. Further, Bocconi has also recently inaugurated its new cutting-edge, $140M campus, which consumes near-zero energy and features the most advanced education technology.
Academically, the Bocconi MBA is known for its general management focus. After completing the core courses, the one-year program offers electives within four functional concentrations, as well as Bocconi’s trademark Luxury Business Management concentration, created in collaboration with LVMH and Bain & Company. Students with a global outlook can choose to spend a few months at one of the 30 business schools in Bocconi’s exchange network.
32% of the MBA class of 2021 landed jobs in tech, the most sought-after sector for Bocconi graduates. Consulting came a distant second with 17%, and finance third with 11%. A notable portion of 11% joined the luxury & fashion sector, and 7% went into food & beverage.; neither percentage can be found at any other top school. In terms of geography, 49% of graduates stayed to work in Italy, while 38% took up jobs in outer Europe.
